The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Summary for Saturday's snowstorm, which set a snowfall record for Jan. 8 in Atlantic City.
Snowfall totals were highest across southeastern New Jersey, especially in Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland counties, where 4 to 7 inches of snow was common, according to the summary.
Atlantic City received 7.7 inches of snow, besting the previous record of 6.6 inches on Jan. 8, 1988, the summary says.
The weather service has posted mainly unofficial snowfall totals for various locations in Monmouth and Ocean counties and elsewhere.
The storm caused no major impacts other than the usual traffic accidents linked with inclement weather, according to the summary.
